The biggest hurdles to weight loss are other people, co-workers and peers

For the last 60 days, I have prepared both lunch and dinner meals and brought them to work. I eat dinner before I get off. I eat mostly green veggies and lean protein in my meals.
I also have portable scale which I use to measure anything I eat at work because there is so much free food there.
The amount of annoying comments I get from my co-workers has pushed me to a boiling point. "How can you eat like that?" "You weigh everything? LOL live a little?" "You want to go eat? Oh wait you brought food right? LOL".
These people are all sloppy-looking, out-of-shape, or straight up obese. They all believe that they only need to do one class of CrossFit or Pilates next week, and thats all they need. Except next week comes and the class never happens.
I was 197 and now I am 181lbs. Things are warming up, and the same people are noticing that I am more cut. What do they say? "Hey, how did you do that?"
For nearly 2 months, they made me feel like I some weirdo, and now that I have visible results, they have the nerve ask me how achieved it?
I can definitely see someone can give into peer pressure and lose focus.

People are only hurdles if you allow them to be. You have to ignore the comments and attitudes of other people, that's their problem. I had lost 60 lbs and I was eating some chips at work and a coworker had the nerve to say to me, "That's not a good choice". I just laughed at him. You do what you need to do and own it.8

I actually think it is quite amusing how they are amazed. Or they ask you how you did it but when they learn it is not a magic pill or potion but hard work and dedication then they are no longer interested. Everyone wants to look great but no one wants to walk past the chocolates in the break room.11

I find that I am my own biggest obstacle really. OP, you are right that peers, co-workers, etc., can be distractions, annoyances and provide temptations and such, but I have to make and be responsible for my own choices. Please know I am not criticizing you in the least, and I see your point. I choose to look at it from a different perspective - it works better for me. Some days are easier than others.7

I do wonder though, if you are preparing your meals at home, why are you weighing your food at work?2 -
You don't have to talk about your diet with coworkers. Sometimes it's less stressful if you don't.3

LOL, you are a weirdo, along with everyone else who has chosen this method of losing weight and making lifestyle changes. I ignore everyone that has something negative to say like "you're too skinny, don't lose any more weight," "seriously, you weigh and measure ALL your food?," "you'll just gain it all back over time once you quit 'dieting,'" "how can you drink a beer when you're on a diet?"etc...I refuse to get derailed, this is now my life.3 -

I allow myself 500 callories of unplanned food each day. Usually, it's a protien shake or two.
There are usually nutritious foods at work like nuts, fruit, kale chips, beef jerky or oatmeal. Doesn't make sense for me to skip out on it when it's free

These people are annoying but they have no real affect on you unless you allow it. Choosing to lose weight or be healthy is a very personal choice and the majority of it happens in our minds. Once I made up my mind to lose weight there was nothing that anyone could do or say to stop me...My motto--If it's to be it's up to me. Stay strong.6

Sometimes I weigh my food out in my office because I can't stand all the comments from the peanut gallery when they see it. I've been eating the same foods for a year and they STILL make inquisitive comments. I know they don't mean anything wrong, but it sure is annoying. Anyway, I feel you OP.1

The only hurdle to weight loss is you. You decide what you eat and how much. You decide how much notice you take of other peoples comments.
Seeing others as inferior "Sloppy looking, out of shape and straight up obese" because they are not making the same choices you are just makes you sound a bit smug to be honest.
As to them asking how you did it just tell them you drink pregnant Yak urine every morning.
Or you could offer to explain about CICO MFP and how to use a scale. Who knows one of them might even listen and benefit from that kindness.

You have to want to be healhty more than approved by the "slopping looking, out of shape, and straight up obese". That's life. Aim for the moon and get the stars thrown in for free or wallow with the weak.1 -

This is one of the many reasons I like working at home. I struggled with this sort of workplace pressure. Granted, now I'm 10 steps from my kitchen at all times, but I can deal with that.

I guess that is part of why I don't socialize much at work! HAHA
For me work sucks because there is always free food and people pressure you when you say no. They are like, "One won't kill you."
Also for the first time I have co-workers who I can get lunch with but I don't want to go out and eat over, so I don't. And it makes me sad, I never had that option before.
And it is funny to listen to women at work trying to lose weight. They are all about shakes and all the random diet crazes. Me I'm just sitting here like you can save a fortune by just eating fewer calories and working out. Oh well.
The one thing that does motivate me is there are a lot of women my age here that are super fit and healthy and I feel like a blob next to them, so it motivates me to do better so I can catch up to them.3 -
Maybe just my luck but the people I work with are extremly supportive of me and my weight loss?2

YES. I also can't eat homemade food unless I've seen someone's kitchen. It perhaps makes me a little too rigid, but I want to know if you're the type of person who has five years worth of grease/spills on your counters.0 -

At 197 I don't know where you get off calling other people sloppy tbh. Maybe check your attitude and you may find people are a bit nicer. You sound terribly judgmental because you found the Nutritional God. Step off your high horse my dear.7

My ex-coworkers used to make comments about me and my eating habits. For example, when we'd have catered lunches, I'd eat what I brought from home for lunch. I'd get little snide comments like "one little cupcake's not gonna hurt you" or "Vintage's so disciplined with her diet" (said sarcastically). It never bothered me because I knew what the end result for me was and I cared less about what people had to say about what I choose to put in my body.3
