I've been doing well on staying at around or below my calorie goal as well as Protein and Carbs, but Fat has been slightly elevated and cholesterol has been way higher than MFP would like.

Tips for keep cholesterol and fat lower?
One of my problems is that I have an egg scramble every morning with 3 eggs, sausage, mushroom and spinach. That starts off with a load of fat and cholesterol.

My diary is public if you'd like to check it out and maybe give me some tips.

Have you had a physical exam with bloodwork lately? Fat and cholesterol are not a concern for the average person with good blood markers.

The good news is, you already know what foods those nutrients are coming from, so if you have to reduce them, you already know how. ;)

I like egg whites. I do 1 full egg and 2 egg whites.

Unless you have hypercholerolemia (rare) fat and cholesterol in your diet do not affect cholesterol levels in the body. I would not worry about that if you are healthy.

MFP is flat wrong on cholesterol. There is no evidence that food cholesterol affects serum cholesterol. The 60-year old data that supported the government's decision to declare food cholesterol "bad", was nefariously cherry-picked. Enjoy your eggs.

My blood markers are good. I was just concerned with the restrictions MFP was telling me I should stay under. I'll continue as planned unless indications change to show I need to reduce cholesterol, fat, etc

Dietary cholesterol is a non issue for most people. It will actually be removed from nutrition labels soon.

The sausage is the issue. Replace the sausage with something else and i think it would drop the fat content. I use soyrizo or lean ham.

Never used soyrizo before. Lean ham sounds like a good substitute. I may go back to using turkey sausage or something similar.

The body is capable of making cholesterol if it actually needs it as a component of hormones and things.
