Most unhealthy place to eat? Wow.

Where I work we order out on Friday's. Today's choice was TGIF's. Browsing their menu and nutritional info, and there isn't much you can eat there. So, I guess I am skipping that today. Boo.

I ate there last weekend and I got a small steak with veggies on the side. Don't know the calorie count, but works for what I'm doing.

    Indeed.

And yet it's nice that they warn you beforehand by letting you see their info.

Their dragonfire chicken meal is good with a side of broccoli. Did you already pass?

I know thats frustrating! When I go out with a group, like from church or even family, I dont want to be the stick in the mud but it seems they always choose the least healthy places. Im pretty good at choosing the best thing on the menu but some of these places only have garbage! After a while though, my family has gotten the picture.
We dont have a TGIFridays, but I bet you can order something grilled without the added butter and sauces. When all else fails I go with steamed veggies (no butter) and grilled fish or chicken(no sauces). I make sure they write down the "no" part!

I worked for TGIF when I was younger.

There are ways to eat healthy there. Like any restaurant, you are going to get way more fat and salt than you really need. Back in the day, Fridays was known for its huge portions. But you can always ask for a to-go box when your food arrives, and pack half of it up before you start.

You're not going to be able to avoid eating restaurant food for the rest of your life. You have to learn to make it work.

I used to work there! The rule was you had to eat something after each training shift so you could get to know the menu. Thank GOD I'm gluten intolerant. I didn't have to eat a darn thing, they tried to make me until I kind of just stared and hinted that I could sue them like MAD for making me eat food that I was potentially allergic to. They were't awesome about cross contamination for things other than allergies that require EPI pens.

    TGI FAIL.

Occasionally the girls I work with like to go have a drink after closing and it is nice that there are a few places around where I work. TGIFridays is one.. Chevys and California Pizza Kitchen are the others. No great choices, Lots of awesome tasting food that is out of my league...way off my diet. It is probably why I haven't lost much in such a long time. I enjoy being social and having a drink which by itself isn't an issue.. but add and appetizer...and everything falls apart.
