I usually do greek yogurt ( I use Light&Fit vanilla, half a serving) some berries, and a serving of special K protein cereal. 245 cals with 20 g protein and 39 carbs.

I make yogurt a couple of times a week. I just scald whatever milk I'm using (usually a half gallon of 2% lactaid milk), let cool to luke warm, stir in a half cup of yogurt. Cover and leave in the oven overnight with the oven light on to keep it warm. I use a heavy dutch oven for the pot.

I like mine plain with berries. Hubs puts vanilla, honey and granola in his. The kids put honey and chocolate chips in theirs.

Vanilla Greek with powdered peanut butter & a sprinkle of Grapenuts cereal. Helps me with my iron #'s.

Vanilla Greek, frozen raspberries.......these break into tiny bits when you stir. The texture is like soft serve ice cream.

Saw this - I'm looking forward to trying the chocolate chip cookie one

If your plain homemade yogurt is runny,
    4 oz runny homemade yogurt
    10 g chia seeds
    12 g PB2
25 g Nature Valley Oats N Chocolate Granola
    25 g hulled hemp seeds.

Stir, mix, wait 20 minutes for the chia to thicken the yogurt.

I liked the texture provided by the hemp and granola, and the flavor combinations of PB2 and chocolate.

The first time I put all this pile of stuff in my yogurt was last Monday when I was trying to eat back some exercise calories. I have rarely been so positively impressed with anything I've eaten on this journey. It's in my top 3.

If your plain retail yogurt is firm,

    eliminate the chia seeds.

BTW, I use Promised Land Jersey whole milk for my yogurt. I want that 1 extra gram of protein per cup.

i like to use great value light vanilla yogurt and a cup of cheerios and mix them together, its really good and while its weird i also use baby puffs... like gerber or parents choice or plum organic, they are 25 calories and that means you can mix them up for very little cals.. gerber and plum organic taste the best and i use about 50 or 100 calories worth of puffs

Soy, Cashew or Almond yogurt--make it the same way as cow milk yogurt or it's in well-stocked stores to try first. Fewer Cals, Less Fat, fewer carbs, more protein, more calcium, more Vit. D3 and Omega 3's. I think it's yummier too.

I got bored with my smoothie one day and added Maple Extract (a couple drops!), blended well and it was amazing tasting too.

I find it's hard for people who were raised on sweet/fruit yogurt to make the switch. But I like salty yogurt.

Plain yogurt with a good serving of salt, straight up. Or I make oatmeal with just flaxseed and salt and eat it with plain yogurt.

Also, (and this is very Indian) something called raita, which is finely chopped cilantro, diced tomato, cucumber, salt, and plain yogurt. Yum. You can also throw all this in a blender with unflavored protein and make a smoothie. I prefer it runny. Tastier without the protein though :)

I'm a pescaterian, so I am always looking for protein snacks! Here's my Protein Pudding recipe:
    1/2c of Powerful Yogurt, plain
    2T PB2
1scoop of rich chocolate Six Star Protein Powder(for women)
    1/2 banana, mashed
    Dash of honey
Mix well and enjoy. Makes one serving.
