Joint support when lifting

Hi all, I've been taking my lifting a lot more seriously over the past few months, and have seen incredible strength gains.

The problem is, I feel like my joints haven't caught up to my muscles. For instance, sometimes doing chest presses, my muscles can move the weight, but the pressure on my wrists is intense, almost to where they feel like they could snap. Can anyone recommend a brace or a course of action? I'm a woman with small-to-average hands and wrists. I'd hate to lose the gains I've made, but I don't want to injure myself either.
