Can't Stop Eating!

So it's 10 at night and I can not stop eating. So far I haven't gone over my calories, but I'm WAYY too close for my own comfort. I'm eating all of my excerise calories like it's my job!
I've chewed two pieces of gum and drank about 3 cups of water. I'm starting to get really frustrated and when I get this frustrated with myself I want to stress eat. This is a very evil EVIL circle.

Well eat until you reach your limit, and then stop. Or eat 250 more and be in a 250 calorie deficit. Having a smaller deficit for a day isn't going to stop your progress. I owe a lot of my progress to being comfortable with eating more when I know I need it.0

Wow, you post some good dern stuff girl!!! This is so true. If I have "a need to feed" I do it. It doesn't happen often, maybe twice a month. But it doesn't hurt me or my progress. Trying to force down every "exercise" calorie was much worse. I do not eat all my exercise calories now. Only 50 - 75% there bouts. Give or take, I don't worry because I know how my eating habits have been changed, Im betting forever.

I'm the same way. Some days I'm just not hungry, and I'm ok with being within 100 calories of my exercise calories. Then other days I'm totally famished, and I eat until I feel comfortable. Sometimes I just need an extra 100 calories, others I need several hundred. This is the best I have ever looked, so I'm gonna keep doing it this way!0 -
Have you tried drinking a diet hot cocoa? It is 25 calories and really fills you up. I end every day in my cold climate (Colorado) with a hot cocoa. It is especially tasty made with a cup of skim milk--if you can afford the calories.0

protien everynight before bed, 2 scoops is about 80g protien will fill you and it's great for your body0

I like the posting on success stories idea cause it keeps your mind and hands budy, I also like to plan the next days menu and try to hit my calories, protein, fiber, fat and carbs to the number! (almost impossible but it keeps me busy)0

aww thanks everyone.
i ended up having a slice of weight watchers wheat bread and some natural peanut butter. it was only 135 calories so it didn't put me over too much.
i feel like for the past week i keep having times when i'm ready to eat my kitchen. i don't know what's wrong but i'm hoping this passes soon because i am really tired of finding myself late at night snacking.0 -
Just a thought, but are you drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day if not more? I find that drinking all that water makes me less hungry overall...also eating breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner...breaking my meals up throughout the day makes me less likely to want to gorge at night. I do agree...if you feel you need it, don't stress over the number...some days I go over most I am under...I do what my body tells me it needs. I just make sure what I am eating is a healthy choice. Remember denying yourself can lead to binging or falling off the wagon...moderation is the key and ultimately the fact you are tracking your calories shows your are being responsible about your food choices and decisions...I believe that right there is 1/2 the battle to getting control of my addiction to food. Being aware...wow what a change for me!
Good luck on your journey! Remember, we are always here if you need a boost!:flowerforyou:0
