AmandaCG you are so lucky you can run! my body just can't take the pounding. here is what i miss about running, the zone after 2 miles. i used to focuse on personal problems with upbeat techno blasting on my IPod. Hold your self up, relax ur shoulders and arms, find a spot and run to it. enjoy!

I live in a rural area & usually run on back country roads. I always have to aware of my surroundings. People think that just because they are "out of traffic" texting & driving just became legal.

When I am running, I try to picture myself crossing the finish line, hoping that I had a safe, well-run race.

It's funny for me, running is one of the only times I am super focused. I pay attention to the way my foot falls, how my posture is, my breathing, heart rate and I am forever calculating pace in my head.

Not like when I am at work sitting in front of the computer all day...then my mind wanders. =)
