Started working out gain 3 lbs back

Hello! I've been doing the food intake pretty good and been loosing the weight pretty good, waited to introduce exercise into it and I it seem like I gained 3 lbs. Should I just wait til I plateau with the food portion to introduce exercise or should I continue exercising? Any tips out there?

Keep doing what you're doing. Your muscles are holding on to more water to repair themselves from the stress they've been put under with the new exercise. It's temporary and you should see it dissipate in the next 1-2 weeks.2

Don't get too preoccupied with the numbers on the scale. Malibu927 has it right. Take some measurements if you're unsure!1
