How many calories to lose weight?

I think I probably need to go by the recommendation of 1200 calories to lose weight because I an older (51), small (5'3"; 125 pounds), and only want to lose 10 pounds. Also, eating 1200 and no exercise calories back, I only lose 1/2 to 1 pound a week. However, I just don't think I can eat such a small amount. When I try, I end up being hungry a lot. I work out 5 days a week, running and circuit training, so my question is - is there anyone out there about my age and size that has experience and success eating more? Or do you find you need to stick to 1200?

With such a small amount, depending on your exercise level, maybe use a TDEE calculator0
