Try avoiding caffeine, that helped a lot with my moods when it gets all crazy. Also stopping caffeine will also cause some craziness too at least initially when breaking the habit, same with breaking a sugar addiction.

Peri-menopause? Discuss bio-identical progesterone like Prometrium with your GYN? For more, see if your library has a copy of Dr Christiane Northrup's Wisdom of Menopause.

I was afraid someone would tell me to give up my coffee..☕ thanks for the advice.

Get your thyroid levels checked. A lot of the symptoms mimic Peri-menopause symptoms.

Good luck...similar situation here, but I'm coming off breastfeeding. I'm headed to the endocrinologist in a few weeks for thyroid/hormone interactions. Apparently, everything's connected, and thyroid issues "mimic" female hormone issues.

I started with a trip to my primary care physician (blood work and thyroid scan), then to the obgyn, now to the specialist. Hoping to figure this out.

I went through really crazy hormones and emotions when my cycle started again after baby number 2 (I'm 36). Blood tests all came back fine, but my GP did recommend Evening Primrose Oil and I have felt so much better. I have also cut out processed sugar and sugar substitutes (like honey etc) because in my body, it just makes everything all out of whack. I can't give up coffee though, but I don't feel like I need to now.

I imagine you don't want to hear this, but giving up sugar will probably help. And giving up soy will also probably help. I'm past all the craziness now, but when it first started I thought I was having panic attacks! One thing that really helped me was to learn to roll with the hot flashes and not let them stress me out or make me annoyed. The emotional response tends to magnify the symptoms.

Hot flashes taught me a lot about myself, actually, because stress would bring them on. I learned to recognize what was making me stressed and then use mindfulness techniques to reduce the stress.

Good luck and hope you find some good solutions.
