I have the Apple Watch but it is not really great in tracking fitness nor do I think it is too accurate on what it can track

What do you want to track? The gadgets they sell to wear all the time are really only good for tracking steps. Most everything else is made up by the marketing department. If you are into running or cycling, then a tracker can be used to help you train.
FWIW, I wear a Vivomove from Garmin just to track my steps (because it is interesting to me). When I run I use a Garmin Forerunner 630 (soon to be replaced with a 935) along with a heart rate monitor strap.0 -
Garmin Fenix 3 or 5. Very excellent all around device. I use mine to swim, hike, ski, it works with the power meter on my bike, measures VO2max, LTHR, etc. Way beyond steps. And it looks good enough as a watch.0

Best depends on what you want, and what your price point is. Clearly if you've got an Apple watch then you've got cash to throw around, so you're open to the higher end devices.
If you need something with GPS then that's one thing, if you need something that connects to accessories that's another.

I personally love my Fitbit Blaze. My only negative is that it's not water resistant/waterproof. Otherwise, I like the look, ease of use, functionality, and relative accuracy.0

What does the AW not do that you want? More specifics about what you're looking for will help get opinions.
I love the AW personally.0 -

+1 for Garmin. I use Garmin vivoactive with a separate chest strap (more accurate than wrist hrm).
It counts steps and syncs to MFP and third party apps like Strava. It has built in programs for indoor and outdoor cycling and running. Each program has user definable data screens. Worth a look. Check out Dcrainmaker.com for impartial reviews on all fitness tech.0 -
I'm on my 3rd Garmin in over 10 years, currently using the 610. I use it with an HRM to track everything, running, biking, and lifting. Recently, I've been comparing the HRM reading to the metal handles on the treadmills and bikes at the gym. I've been amazed to find them only 1-2 BPM off. It seems the Garmin HRM will change and the treadmill/bike will be a second or so behind. I don't know if the wrist HRM devices are as accurate, but I'm sure it's all fairly good.
My only complaint with the 610 is I often find myself accidentally starting/stopping workouts. During a workout, anything flexing my wrist seems to hit the start/stop like push ups, bench press, etc. Also just wearing it during the day as a watch, my sleeve often changes the screen or I accidentally start a workout. It's a great GPS device but this quirk is enough for me to recommend looking into alternatives.0
