Im new - hello everyone. Im attempting to try the Keto diet. I used the Keto calculater to come up with my daily caliries, protein, fat, carbs etc. It says I should only eat 99g per day. Well this equates to only 3.4 ounces of protein per day. Does this make sense? Im confused.

Yes, it makes sense. It's not telling you to eat 100g of chicken (for example) . It's eating enough chicken to get 100g protein. I think 100g raw chicken breast is 30ish grams protein?

No. It's not saying 99grams of chicken. It's saying 99grams of protein. 99grams of cooked chicken only has 27grams of protein in it.

    It says 99g of Protein.
Protein includes (in the Keto diet): chicken, turkey, beef, pork, tuna, shrimp, any kind of meat/seafood, and nuts.

    3oz of cooked chicken = ~21g protein
1 oz of Tuna = ~7.2g of Protein
1 oz of Almonds = 6g of Protein

Just be sure to notice that some proteins are higher in calories and fat than others and nuts often have carbs that need to counted as well.
