I went for a hike yesterday across really rough terrain. I had forhotten my hiking poles so had to be very careful of my footing, but I made it through fine. At keast I did until I got to the parking area, tripped on my own feet and went diwn, skinning my knee, wrist and elbo. Nothing serious, but I thought it would be a good idea to wear a wrist brace gor a day or two. I pulled out my old large size brace only to find it was way too large. I never would have thought that I had lost enough to need a smaller wrist brace!
The bad news is that with a sore knee and wrist, I won't be able to go to my pilates class or swim for a few days.8 -
Oh, oh, oh, I forgot one!
I actually RAN today! I stopped to look at something and DH, my toddler and sons went on so I RAN to catch up with them. Up a slope as well! I was so shocked - I thought that my damaged knee would scream at me but it didn't, it was fine. So I did it again, this time with my oldest son. Then again. And again. And the last time with both of my sons. It felt GREAT. Although I was only going for a couple of hundred feet each time, I was running
So now I'm going to take up C25K. Maybe get my oldest son to do it with me.32 -
Woke up, thought, 'meh, shall probably only swim 1km today, not feeling it'
got in pool, swam 2km. had 20 mins to go before I had to get out. Despite morons in the pool (seriously, do NOT push off again when I have been at your feet for half a length - courtesy people!?) I did another 0.5km.
100 laps done - justified the bacon brekkie this morning! woohoo!21 -
As of today I'm now wearing 1xlt sized shirts! When I started this journey 18 months ago I was wearing 4xlt! I'm still in shock because its been easily 15 years since I worn this size.41

This is definitely one of those days when it's good to think about NSVs. I don't have much left to lose, but today I feel ... bummed. For a couple days now, I feel like I look like someone took a bicycle pump to my belly. I don't feel bad, and my belt even went down a notch, but I am like, "C'mon already, body!" Maybe I'm getting ready for a whoosh. Maybe my hips etc are shrinking and my belly is staying the same ... Whatever, I'm just ready to snap my fingers and have 10ish lbs disappear. (Wouldn't that be nice!)
So the NSVs, once on Monday and once yesterday I was talking about something weighing 95 lbs, and on both occasions different people joked that that's about as much as I weigh. It isn't actually, but it's sort of close. I guess I'm already pretty little -- even with this maddening pot-bellied toddler thing going on that's bothering me but no one else seems to notice.
OK, whine over and back in the game ... Good luck today, everyone!16 -

To make you feel better. You could be like me. Even 100 lbs doesn't exist for me. 100 lbs is when I was 10. My brother wore my hand-me-down clothes, I was bigger and taller than my whole family. And as a little girl, I had to stop rough housing with my dad cause I would hurt him.
That is how physically big I am. And at 119, I was wearing a size 9, and under weight, you could count my rib bones. Now I'm 167 and wear a size 14. My pic, that's back when I was 180. I was tipping close to 200 many years ago. And you know how many pant sizes I dropped?
None.
Still a size 14, just not as tight now.
So be happy where you are now. Just stick to your plan. Make take awhile, but the tummy is gonna come off, eventually.
And whenever you feel down, just think of me, and feel happy for yourself with how you look at the moment.
I'm happy with the fact I'm a BIG woman.12 -
My jumper that I've wore since November to cover me just hangs off my shoulders now. Three jackets in my wardrobe I haven't had on fit me and I can sit down in them
My belt now has to go halfway round my waist to be tight enough.8 -

Oh, I get this -- I went from the 230's to the 150's and was wearing the same pants. I'm not kidding. I know that sounds impossible but then, at some point: boom -- a lot of changes in a short amount of time. Now I'm 116 and my body is just being weird again .7 -
I walked 2.5 miles on my lunch break, at 3.4 mph. That's a decent pace for me walking up and down hills.12

I ordered size 34 jeans and a medium shirt for the first time.27

I fit into a size small legging at Old Navy and it doesn't get see through or show my whole *kitten* when I bend over.

Trying on my summer shorts that are goal clothes. Found two pairs that fit including an expensive pair of musto shorts and a pair of lands end shorts that had a 10 dollar bill in the pocket.
Nice! I love finding money in pockets so much that sometimes I'll put money in there on purpose before I put them away for the season. My memory sucks so it's always a nice surprise.
Ha ha ha. Had a good giggle at this one. I should do this - my memory is now terrible!!

This is funny also, but I took my grandson to the movies last weekend and when I stood up my underwear started to fall down.24

Got "yelled" at by my seamstress for losing so much weight because now I am swimming in my wedding dress and she has loads of work to do48

I lost weight in my fingers! From a too tight size 9 to size 6.22

Had to get measurments done by this nice girl for a new work uniform. Not only was i not embarrassed, I was a little proud. Ive lost 5 inches off my waist! I know I couldn't say that 5 months ago!23

catching my reflection in the mirror this morning and giving myself a double take. this neverrrr happens.20

I was hoping to fit into my old shorts, I couldn't squeeze in comfortably last summer. Now they're too big!23

Ordered a small t-shirt thinking because the shirt was only being sold for a limited time and I figured I'd order it in a small so I could wear it later, after I'd hit my goal. Well, I tried it on, and it fits. Not like I'd only wear it in the house but I feel like I'm suffocating fits, but actually fits. I actually wore it out of the house. I'm still about 25 lbs from my goal, so I'm coming to terms with the fact that not only am I not "big boned," but also that I might actually be a small person (maybe even an extra small person!) when this is all over.28

I had a very stressful day at work. Usually when I have stressful days I turn to candy and chips for comfort. Well, today I craved exercise instead and went to the gym and got in 40 minutes of cardio and would've probably done another 20 minutes if it wasn't for the severe storms/high winds moving in.26

I ran ten miles today! I have run a total of 22 miles since April began and this is only the 5th day. I've set a goal of 100 miles for this month. This will be highest monthly running miles total ever!34

I just picked up my bib for my first 5k on Sunday!41

I am trying to learn to do real push ups. Today spread over the day I did 2 real push ups and 245 angled at chair height25

Kind of hard to describe, but I noticed I have two vertical indents on my belly (like outlining where abs would be if I had those) where I can see where my side ends and where my belly begins. It used to just be one big sticky outty belly like santa lol.38

Congratulations! Love the dancing piggy too. I got my first kipping pull-up yesterday and that's how I felt. I can't wait till I get strict. Maybe next week? I'm actually having dreams about pull-ups lately.8 -
I really needed to read these NSVs today. Been feeling kinda blah lately and eating has been less than stellar. And the scale has been very unforgiving lately. So instead of getting down, I'll try to focus on the good. I bought a bike this week. Has to be at least 10 years since I've had or ridden one. And I actually rode it yesterday. The weather in New England has been yucky but yesterday was overcast but not cold so I went for it. I went with my youngest son (who just got a new bike also). We had a few hiccups but overall, I really enjoyed it. I can definitely see myself doing it more often. Loved seeing signs of spring...making me itch for warm weather.24
