                    Hey MFP buddies,
Fun topic, just want to see what others have to say...lol
So, I'm you average fitness bunny, always looking for a challenge and a push towards my fitness goals. I have trained with several (4-5) personal trainers, professional trainers, expensive trainers!
But the reason why I have moved on to different trainers is because they all try to put the moves
 - And I try to keep things professional and not address the situation and just leave and never return
. I have loss tons of cash
paying upfront and then feeling uncomfortable and forced to drop them.

Question: has anyone experience this during their fitness journey? Have you hired a professional trainer that behaved inappropriate and if so, how did you handle the situation?

5 different trainers who have all acted inappropriately...? maybe choose someone of the same sex if you're just so irresistible that they can't help but come on to you...?8

Yikes, that's very unprofessional. I have only had a trainer a few times but stopped using them. I don't like being yelled at and I had one who actually laughed at me when I had trouble doing an exercise. I also overheard her saying "pathetic" to a co worker. I was done after that. I am sorry, but we all come from different backgrounds and fitness levels.... as a trainer you are there to help motivate and positively promote good health and proper techniques. This is also part of the reason I no longer waste money at gyms and just work out at home. I don't have to put up with anything and can enjoy my time alone to work on a better me.0

Yes I think u should train in women's gym if that exists in ur state cuz let me tell u most of the male coaches are pervs, I think if u still want to do it u should address the behavior from the beginning but I do not recommend women to be trained by men it doesn't work in my opinon1

for that many of your trainers to be "putting the moves on you", i can't help but think it's something you are doing...10

I might suggest working with a trainer/coach of the same sex if this keep happening...which I also find it odd that you would run into that many unprofessional trainers. My trainer has numerous female clients and I've never seen him act inappropriately like that.
I met and started working with my trainer about 2.5 years ago. We actually became fast friends and he's one of my best buds now and our families get together often.

I was a trainer for years and never once hit on a client. Never dated one. Never even made innuendo comments.
I am assuming, like many of my female clients though, you flirt too much with them and possibly lead them into those situations. I got a lot of innuendo comments and I'd just pass them off and redirect them (nicely).
So yeah...if 5 trainers hit on you, I would be willing to put money down you are sending out the wrong vibe. Or maybe you were just completely unlucky and had 5 duds.1 -
They are not real trainers. A real fitness professional treats you as a CLIENT. For 5 different professionals to do that is fishy for me. There's 2 sides of the story and then there's the truth. I dunno, but hey does anyone know where I can get some of that szechuan teriyaki dipping sauce?0

Never experienced this. Maybe try a female trainer? Even in the gym, I rarely get hit on. Just make your stance and make them realize that you're there to work out. It works. I can wear the shortest shorts + a sports bra and not hear a peep from any men, or get any glances, because it's clear that when I'm there I'm in the zone and don't have time for any crap.1

LOL you sure seem to have a lot of bad luck with these PTs. Pick a female - make a discreet inquiry as to their sexual orientation prior to signing up.
Knowing your luck you'll be telling us some female PT hit on you.0 -

I have had two personal trainers -- male and female. Both fell madly in love with me. Now the three of us are in a committed relationship and we travel world on my yacht, swimming, weight training, dancing, doing yoga, juicing, and sexercising 24/7. They worship me. Life is grand.2

Nonsense. You're a legend in your own mind! I look forward to the movie deal once you release the memoirs
