Hi. I'm at the start of my weight loss/fitness journey and I'm finding the motivation to exercise is escaping me. I recently joined a group fitness session in a sport my family are involved in and my god it nearly killed me but surprisingly I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately the season is over and so are the group fitness sessions.

I think I need some form of group exercise, but not classes as I find them boring, but I am considering our local Parkrun. The thing is I'm very overweight. 7 stones overweight. Honestly, would I be laughed at and is it impossible to complete at my size with no previous running experience?

I'm not a Parkrun expert (I've only made it to one so far) but you'll have no problems.

They are all very welcoming, plenty of people walk the entire route. Register now, get your barcode and go for it!!!

People can walk it? So if I get too puffed out I could walk and run alternately?

    Thank you, that sounds great.

You can walk at the park run.

You might want to look at c25k if you're not a runner.

C25K is part of the fitness plan. I've been focusing on my diet and getting my eating under control and now I feel like I need to start the fitness side.
