Female Q for Female Marathoners and Cyclists

I'm doing a 6-hour mountain biking enduro-race tomorrow out in the woods. I'm not sure of the 'amenities' but I'd imagine porta-potties. Of course my . showed up yesterday. I generally don't like to wear tampons during exercise but I'm not sure a pad would be comfortable as I'll be seated for multiple hours. A normal bout of exercise wouldn't promote me asking this question, but I am curious to hear from anyone who has done a distance race. Don't want to be out there chaffing or something.

Might be a little late to procure one, but what about those little cup things?

Yea, I was looking at those. I didn't expect this so I hadn't really planned. I think I'd be worried those would like...pop out. That's part of the reason I don't wear tampons during exercise, I tend to push them about halfway out and that gets uncomfortable.0

Sorry I'm not a cyclist, but I have run 5k and 10k with pads pretty comfortably. I don't wear tampons ever, so I certainly wouldn't wear them during exercise, but there are other reasons for that. Good luck tomorrow!!!!0

boy,I dont know what to tell you either,i stick with pads for the most part,i think id be most comfortable with a pad knowing i wont have a big spot when i get up lol i tend to have tampons leak0

I would expect major chaf-age if I were running for 6 hours with a pad but I don't bike (like, at all) so I don't know how that would be different from running...
Also hate tampons but thats the route I'd go.. Sorry yo.
OR if there are porta johns you can always start out with a pad and switch if it gets uncomfortable.0 -
Hmm...I feel like being 'pressed' against the pad would cause some chaffing. But I feel like by 4 hrs I'd have to change the tampon. EWWWWW haha0
