Losing inches but not pounds

For some reason I don't seem to be losing pounds. I haven't taken my measurements but my cloths fit differently so I know I'm losing inches. I'm 5' 5" 131 pounds and trying to get to 120. I'm consuming about 1000 to 1100 calories a day, and walking for about an hour everyday. Why am I not losing pounds?

How long have you been doing this for? It can take some time, especially since your not overweight to begin with.

I have have been on this diet for a little over two weeks now. I lost two pounds in the first week then I hit 131 and I've been stalled there for a week.

Someone in a deficit isn't going to be gaining muscle. And she said she was walking, not lifting.

It's only been a week. Weight loss isn't linear, and there will always be days/weeks where you maintain or gain. Be patient, especially because you don't have much to lose and it will take some time. That said, you should be eating at least 1200 calories.

Two pounds in two weeks seems pretty great to me. (Your calories seem a tiny bit low, so I wouldn't recommend eating at that level for very long.) You're only two weeks in and you don't have much to lose, so I would just keep watching your calories and doing your walking. In the beginning, I've often read that you tend to lose quite a bit of water weight (consistent with your first week) and then weight loss slows down (consistent with your second week). You've already lost weight and your clothes are fitting better. The weight will come off with time!
