Metformin Issues?

Hey all, I've been on and off Metformin for a few years now for PCOS. I started taking them again because I've been neglectful of taking them, so my fault, but I am sort of struggling. I am supposed to take 2 a day, but my stomach has completely been screwed up because of it. This includes feeling like I might vomit and stomach cramps. I don't remember this happening a few years ago. Currently, I'm only taking one 500 mg. My stomach can't handle anymore.

So, do any of you have similar issues? How do you work around these? Thanks!

These are common side effects with metformin.

Why don't you chat to your doctor or pharmist regarding restarting this med.

It's not usually a great idea to stop and restart prescription medications without medical supervision.

Make sure you eat before taking it.

Also monitor what you are eating. Out of nowhere I started having bad reactions to eggs when taking it with methformin. If you have a bad reaction eliminate what you ate and see if it gets better.
