No freaking way!!!!! Just weighed in and I'm at 151 STILL! What the hell is going on??? This is 3 weeks now and no movement! Ok I know I had a bit of chocolate but surely it shouldn't stunt my weightloss like this??? I honestly don't know what to do now, never had a plateau like this before!! HELP!!!!!

I hit a plateau lasting a month or so at pretty much exactly the same place.. and I just kept doing what I knew was right. Eventually it started to fall off again. Your diaries look great and your exercise is appropriate, just keep on keepin' on. The only possible thing I could suggest is more water, not necessarily saying it'll jumpstart more weight loss, but just from a health perspective. Just keep doing what is right for your body, no matter what the scale says, and your body will reward you in kind.

I know to most people this is counterintuitive but the lighter you get the slower your weight loss progresses. Not to mention people tend to undereat lots and this actually wrecks the metabolism and slows weight loss further. If you are aiming to reach 140 pounds then you should realistically try eating 1400-1500 cal a day at least. Try increasing your daily calories by 200-300 for a few weeks and see if you lose weight again

It's a plateau. They happen. You just stop paying attention to the scale and keep doing what you're doing. You will get where youw want to be. Just don't stop.

Oh gosh it's so annoying! I'm used to loosing a pound or two per week since January and I'm really really happy that I CAN maintain my weight, just don't want to do it yet!!!!!! Still 11lbs to go by October, wish it would budge!!!!!

Agree with the above that your numbers look great. I'm wondering what is your calorie deficit set to? With 11 lbs to lose, it might be about time to bring it down to .5 lb loss per week if you're not there already.

Oh I've no intentions of stopping, I actually feel like I should be hitting it harder!

Its normal .Everyone hits those spots.I seen on the news the other day that changing your exercise routine helps.Like instead of a 30 minute run do a 30 minute workout dvd,30 minute swim.CHange and do something like new everyday-that and the time amount you do it. Its good and it keeps you from being bored with it.I love Zumba and just dance 1 & 2 for the wii.Its a lot of fun and feels like ur playing instead of exercising.Good Luck BTW your doing good keep it up.I wish I was that hardcore.I got a long way to go and some bad habits to fix lol Night:)

MFP set me at 1200 per day, but I have never understood the whole 'eat back your calories' lark! I think if u look at my diary, I tend to eat 'into' them...? Not sure how that works really...?!?!

I noticed in your food diary that there are a few days that you didn't eat all your exercise calories. Have you tried to eat all those calories earned before to see if it had any result on weightloss?

Yeah, I don't always just because by the end of the day and I'm in bed totting up my calories and it's ended up that I haven't ate them all back, the last thing I want to do is go downstairs into the fridge and consume sometimes up to 200-300 cals...isn't that midnight snacking..? Sometimes there isn't always the right foods in our fridge anyways!X

Thank you for that! Right then... Seems like I definitely need to just increase the calories but keep the exercise as usual... Let's see then, I'll give it a week...!

Just be careful about "hitting it harder". I have done this Feb. 2010 and had lost like you said a lb or more every week (lots of times earlier 2-3 lb a week). Then I hit a plateau. So I lowered my calories...still didn't lose so I lowered the bare 1200 a day. Still didn't lose. But all of a sudden I was starving all the time and eating stupid things because I was hungry and having really dumb cravings. So I got smart, upped my calories to close to maintenance level and decided I would just concentrate on maintaining what I had lost...because I certainly didn't want to gain back any. And guess what? After about 3 weeks of that I have started losing again...without dropping my calories or doing any more than my normal exercise. Just hang in and try to resist the urge to lower you food intake.

No I'm not lowering it... MFP set me at 1200, I have just upped it today to 1540 and see what comes of it x
