I have been training in both hip hop and being a bgirl for 6 months now. I have realised head spins are hard for me because I have not that great of balance. How do I strengthen neck muscles and balance coordination?

Yoga generally, yoga protocols to build up to headstands and pilates I would think all helpful. Might also be useful to get to a ballet class.

Yoga and Pilates and good dance technique. I would assume head spins (if head spins are what I think thy are) are something you have to work up to, like head stands and other inversions in yoga. So, take your time and be careful. I feel like doing those wrong could be very dangerous.

I would definatly work on back muscles as well as core muscles to strengthen your neck and the surrounding area. You can probably find back workouts online but try laying on your stomach, putting your arms to the side, and raising your chest as high off the ground as you can while raising your arms above your head.

Or you could just do back bridges. I just think it's fun.

never done what you're trying to do, but weighted carry work comes to my mind. i did it consistently for a month or two, and i don't know anything else that taught me to stop for a moment once i was loaded up, and integrate all the different links in the head-to-toe chain. and then only start to move within the context of that integrated sensation once it was set.

doing it consistently was important because just doing it off the cuff is one thing. but getting your mind used to the way that it feels so you can recognize when you drift off from it and bring yourself back into line . . . for me that took repetitions and time.
