I'm a 33 year old mummy to two, also tried slimming world in the past, and quite liked it so I still use the cookbooks as they are good and low fat (some a bit bland!) I've also got more than 100lbs to lose!

Hi my name is Lisa and I'm 32 (33 this week yikes) and I'm a mom to 5 kids (15, 12, 10, 5 and 2). I started my weight loss journey about a year ago and did ok with it, lost 17lbs and then depression hit me and I lost all motivation. I decided that my depression isn't going to control me anymore. I've gained nearly 40lbs in the last year because of my depression. I decided to take control of my life and work on all aspects of my life. As long as I see that number on the scale going up, I get even more depressed. I started my weight loss journey again today. I have 120lbs that I would like to lose. I am doing country heat from beach body as my go to exercise program and have the portion control containers that I will start using once I get into the swing of things. I could use some friends while on this journey, for motivation and accountability.

Hi..I'm a 45 yr old mom and grandmother. My kids are all grown and gone...But I watch my 2 grandsons when my daughter works. I lost my thyroid gland to cancer in 2004 and have gained so much weight since then. I have been heavy since my mid 20's ( as my thyroid condition went undiagnosed for many years) . I was very fit when I was younger...But now my energy level is in the tank and blood sugar has gone from to low to to high. My doctor recommended this app. So I'm hoping it will help. Not sure how to add friends and whatnot. I am just looking for people that I can help encourage and that will help encourage me too.

  • Hi Everyone! I'm Sara, I'm 26 years old, with no little ones just yet. Maybe soon when I am at a better weight :) I gained over 100 lbs in less than a year because of a medication I must take each day. I tried weight watchers for a few months and it was working okay but I didn't like how it used points rather than real nutritional facts. Also it became too expensive for me. I'm so happy I found this app and so far it's amazing! I can't wait to meet some other wonderful women to support and grow healthier with! Believe in yourselves! Anything is possible if you put your mind to it and never give up! Drink plenty of water before each meal and throughout the day to help you feel full. Here's a few friendly tips: Allot of times our mind confuses hunger for dehydration! And always be logging! If you want to treat yourself to something higher in calories, do it! Just be sure to on a day you already had a good amount of any sort of excercise planned. :) stay positive! Stay inspired! I know sometimes eating healthy is hard, but I'd love to help some friends discover amazing recipies that will keep us on track, together! :)

A little while back we set up a group for people on the +100 lb journey, it's a good group within which to look for friends. Anyone can join.

I will be on mfp for 1 year in 4 days. In that time I have lost 46 pounds. I did lose more but holidays happened and I gained, I slacked off on exercise and gained, and I am dealing with my mother being in her last days. I am an emotional eater and i know it. I have rededicated myself and hope that in another years time I will be at my goal weight. I started at 304, currently am 256 and goal is 160. I have had many friends come and go on here and some that just are not active. I love to support and motivate others and have the same in return. We all can reach our goals we just have to never ever give up!! I am sending out FR and if I miss anyone fell free to shoot me one!

Hey, feel free to add me, former member of the 100 pounds club, was 266 pounds, got down to 154 pounds, due to health issues and holidays, and being lazy, I'm back to 210, really want to kickstart again,

I have 110 to lose. Lost 60lb on here and then due to injury and changes in life but it back on plus 10lb more. Set myself first target of losing 60lb and then the the rest.
