Anyone else trying to lose weight while TTC?

I was told losing weight could help correct my problems that are preventing me from getting pregnant. Is anyone else in a similar situation?

    I've been told the same. I don't seem to be ovulating and my gp wont refer me to anyone else until I loose weight..

    Me too - my doctor has me going to a weight management specialist, first appointment is tomorrow. He also has put me on Metformin even though I'm not diabetic. I guess it also helps with regulating my cycle and appetite suppressant. Have your doctors recommended a program or medication?

    Sounds like PCOS I have it and it can make it harder to lose weight. Don't be discouraged I just had my second baby. If I can do it so can you.

    Sounds exactly like me....

    My hubby and I have been TTC for nearly 3yrs now- have a 10yr old from a previous marriage so I know I can do it. I also got pregnant last year but sadly miscarried. I have PCOS and a bad back so really need to lose some weight but I'm finding it so hard! My Dr also said he can't refer me for treatment till I lose some weight. Have tried Metformin but it didn't seem to make any difference for me.

    Yup! That's why I'm starting this weight loss journey. Not only will it help me be healthy, it'll help if I do conceive. I just started a program with my doc yesterday.
