I discovered eggroll wrappers at my grocery store a few weeks ago and they've sense became one of my favorite things to use at dinnertime!
I've made a few different kind: Cheeseburger eggrolls, Chicken taco eggrolls, and breakfast eggrolls.
I bake them, not fry, so they are low in calories, carbs, and have 0 fat.
Does anyone else use these? I'd love to share recipes!

I made pulled pork egg rolls for Super Bowl that came out yummy. I also made Philly cheese steak egg rolls. I love egg roll wrappers.

I've used them in place of pasta for spinach-ricotta manicoti. Noodles are likelier to break.

Me too! I'm gonna try to make the cheesesteak ones next. Tho, the pork sounds delicious too!

You mean wonton wrappers? If so place each piece into a muffin tin, fill with cream cheese and apple chunks, fold to seal (make a pocket). Bake at 375F for 30 minutes. Nice little desert.

Wonton wrappers are not egg roll wrappers.

What section of the grocery store did you find them in?

I find these in the produce aisle - by the bok choy, fresh bean sprouts & ginger root.

They are usually in the refrigerated "ethnic" section.
I personally buy them from the Asian market.

I found them in the produce section. They were right around where the prepackaged bags of fruit and bags of salad blend are.

Stupid question, but as I'm not at the grocery store right now... are they made with wheat? My husband is celiac so I'm always looking for interesting ways to spice up his boring anti-gluten food :/

I totally forgot about egg roll wrappers. Same question as Butterball above - are they gluten free? I think they are made with rice flour but not sure if there's wheat flour or not. I used to fry the cabbage/carrot blend, add cooked hamburger to it, soy sauce/tamari, and 5 spice powder. Roll in the wrappers, seal with water, and bake. Thanks for the ideas in this thread!

It's probably flour.......but you might find something with rice flour

You would have better luck with spring roll wrappers (rice skin)....but they are prepared very differently.

Yes , they have enriched wheat flour in them. Sorry!

I thought egg roll wrappers and wonton wrappers were the same, just a different size??

You can still do good things with wonton wrappers. They steam really well, so you can make easy dumplings out of them.

Probably, but I don't want to be rolling up twice as much. Idk how to explain it. It's like when I want Kraft dinner, I want Kraft dinner, not another brand. I want egg roll wrappers for egg rolls.

I use egg roll wrappers in my veggie lasagna. Easy to cut to fit pan. Makes it lighter.
