I've been looking for this as well, my chicken breasts and turkey are getting expensive!
I know tuna is pretty good, beans if you don't mind the carbs, and TVP (textured vegetable protein) is a cheap ground meat substitute.0 -
ahi tuna is packed with it. Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, nuts, almost all fish. If you watch the sales you can stock up on the fish you like when it's on sale.0

Do you eat dairy? I like to eat a lot of fat-free cream cheese. It's very low-carb, so almost all the calories are from protein. Honestly, though, I usually use it when I'm craving sweets. I'll soften it, add a little imitation butter flavor, vanilla, xylitol, and whip it all together to make cream cheese icing. Sometimes I'll add ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg or cocoa powder. It's a wonderful, guilt-free snack! Also, anything with egg whites is good...quiches or omelets, that sort of thing.0

Do you eat eggs? Eggs are a good source of protein. Peanut butter is also good, but high in fat and carbs but it's a good post workout snack because of that. Cottage cheese and greek yogurt are also very protein dense foods. You could just add them to a dish, like pasta or a smoothie.0

yes Quinoa has lots of protein. I like to have it with black beans, onions and my favorite salsa. Beans have lots of protein too.0

Tofurky vegan sausage has like 25g of protein per link!0

Beans, canned tuna, canned salmon, and tofu are all good, and they're not terribly expensive. They can be prepared any number of ways. Beans and rice is one of my favorites. Search out recipes featuring these ingredients, and you'll find all sorts of inspiration.
On a side note, I eat Voskos Greek yogurt every other day. A cup has about 24g of protein. I'm trying to alternate it with my fish days. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.0 -
canned tuna is a staple for me
shrimp (Buy the frozen bags when they're on sale)
Tilapia (Costco sells them individually frozen)
Buy beans (kidney, white, navy, etc.) in bulk, soak them overnight and use them in casseroles or in a soup.0 -
Bolt farms makes a protien drink that has 30 g of protien and only 190 calories. You can get them at Walmart for a little over $2. It's near the orange juice.... it taste pretty good too0

Vegans hittin' their protein goals FTW!
Whoever said greek yogurt is right, if you're into dairy. Also, snack on nuts throughout the day or find some all-natural peanut butter if you still are having trouble hitting your daily protein intake!0 -
