Fitbit no longer syncing?

My fitbit app mysteriously stopped syncing with MyFitnessPal yesterday. Any thoughts?

Try disconnecting it from MFP and reconnecting. It just worked for me.

Yeah this works. But you have to do it every time you want to sync.

Same issue; doesn't auto sync now and I have to revoke access from both apps and re-add to fix. Not sure if this is MyFitnessPal or Fitbits fault :(

I only have to revoke it on mfp's side . Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting only on mfp?

Evidently mine did too a few weeks ago. Had to contact FitBit and they walked me through getting it synced again.

Mine stopped working yesterday also. I disconnected and then reconnected several times in order to update the data, but that's not a suitable long term solution. Let's hope someone from the technical side can fix this asap.

Just started using the two together so very disappointed I can't get it to work. Sounds like it's not just me though though

I'm doing that now but it seems I have to do that every time I want to sync steps/exercise

Has happened to me several times in the past couple of weeks... FitBit support helped me first time. Just realized it did it again....

Same here as above, have to revoke and then add access each time.
Obviously a widespread issue but what are mfp doing about it?
Maybe time to look at an alternative app?

Here is a notice about it...
Fitbit steps not syncing as of 4/15

    Sunday, 4/16/2017, 6:18 pm PST

Sorry for any trouble with your fitbit integration. We're currently investigating an issue which has caused steps from fitbit to stop syncing around Saturday 4/15. We are still investigating to confirm the source of the problem but if you started having trouble after updating your tracker or the fitbit app, you may also want to touch base with their team to see if they have any additional insight to offer. We will do what we can to get things straightened out as soon as possible.

We will continue to update this article as more information becomes available. Please check back for further updates.

    All the best,
    MyFitnessPal Staff

Mine stopped working on April 13. Other posts have suggested disconnecting the scale and re-loading it but on my MFP account there is not even an option for the Fitbit Aria scale. It has totally disappeared. Not showing on my account as an approved app nor is it showing in the app menu on MFP as one that I can add. WTF? So frustrating.

The scale does not have a separate App. It syncs through the same Fitbit integration as the tracker so disconnect / reconnect the main (only?) Fitbit Tracker app available in the list

I had the same thing happen to me. I deleted and then I reinstalled it. It's working now 04/17/2017 I'm not sure if that did the trick but its now working. I do a lot of walking and I needed the FB to work.

Any updates as mine is syncing food but not steps or exercise. I've tried deleting apps and reinstalling. Revoking access waiting all night and then trying to link again. Restarting Fitbit too. Nothing working.

Did it resync all your past data or is that gone from MFP?

Mine quit on 4/8. I contacted Fitbit and did everything (deleting, reinstalling, manually syncing, updating all software) they suggested and it still doesn't sync. Thought maybe it was my device, but sounds like maybe not.

Yeah this works. But you have to do it every time you want to sync.

This app kinda sucks. Won't track steps unless you go premium from what I can tell.

    no that's not factual.

you have to ensure it is connected on all sides. I don't have premium and it works fine for me.

That happened to me yesterday, too! Which was unfortunate timing since it was by far my highest step count ever and I wanted to see the extra calories show up over here. ;) It finally synced later in the evening. I did disconnect and reconnect it.
