Double exercise entries?

I have a new Apple watch and have been playing with different exercise apps. I have been using the stock watch app but today I used Runkeeper for a short lunch time walk. When I checked MFP I had two walking entries (one from Apple and one from Runkeeper, both for 41 calories. I also had a negative step calorie adjustment of -11. It also posted on my home feed that my workout burned 85 calories in 25 minutes of walking which is exactly double. I deleted one workout but is there anyway to keep from double dipping like this?

In the menu go to 'apps and devices' and select the app you don't want to log on MFP then choose disconnect on the next screen.0

For the sake of my sanity I just deleted the Runkeeper app. I guess I'll just use the stock Apple watch exercise app.0
