forgive me if this is a repeat topic (i ran a search and didn't see anything specific to this brand), but i just wanted to share a protein powder i read a review of on a blog i follow.
has anyone tried about time whey powder? website: http://www.tryabouttime.com
it's all natural, 100% whey isolate. gluten free, 100 calories, 0 carbs/fat and 25 grams of protein per shake. from what i've read, they don't have any gross chalky aftertaste and it comes in a ton of different flavors. many people add it to milk (regular, soy, almond, whatever you like), some people add it to smoothies. i bought it to mix into my plain organic oatmeal.
they have a trial pack for $2.99 that allows you to try two flavors, and shipping is on them. link: http://www.shopabouttime.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=TrialPack
i ended up ordering cinnamon swirl, birthday cake, chocolate, and vanilla. if i like it, i'll buy a 2lb jar. it's also available on amazon.

After doing research on protein, I don't believe whey protein is healthy for us. Animal protein in general should be consumed in moderation.
I found an awesome organic vegan protein powder from Garden of LIfe that is made from organic sprouts of various beans and vegetables, with probiotics included. I would rather go with a vegetable source then whey, or soy protein isolate.0 -
that sounds great I think I am going to try them thanks :-)0

The best protein drink if have found is the Jillean Michaels whey protein.0

I wish all of the sites did samples. I really want one that tastes good and does good things for my body. Thanks for the info!0

everything should be consumed in moderation. whey protein also has a lot of health benefits, so i think it's like most things out there. some things are going to tell you to stay away, and some things are going to say that it's perfectly fine. i think in this case, because it's 100% natural with no artificial crap, it's not going to do much harm. also, i think in the grand scheme of things, one little packet of whey protein is going to be a small blip on the animal protein radar. i'm not an expert, but i'm personally not too worried.
i was just looking at sun warrior, which is vegan, but it's quite pricey. i guess i'd rather go for something within my budget that i can stomach. who knows, i might not even like these, and i'll be back at square one. i just wanted to try these because i heard good reviews, especially from health bloggers.0 -

Dairy products are not good for you. In fact, the opposite is true. It's kind of a mass conspiracy funded by the diary industry, but information is out there if you look for it. Don't believe the hype.0 -

i'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you're a vegan? a little bit of dairy isn't going to kill anyone, especially in the form of a protein powder. i would also say the same to you about not giving into the hype. there's plenty of pro-vegan literature out there that is incredibly biased, such as skinny ***** (written by a former model and modeling agent, not anyone with an actual medical or nutritional background).
beliefs and opinions are great, but pushing them onto other people and assuming that everyone should live the same way is a little much (goes for MANY things, way beyond food, obviously), especially when there are valid (and completely bogus) claims on each end. people have been consuming animal products for millions of years, and i don't think anyone's cause of death has been from that. just saying.
for anyone who's interested, i asked one of my favorite health/fitness bloggers about various protein powders. she linked me to this post, in which she gives a nod to any form of protein powder, as long as it's not added with preservatives and chemicals. about time is 100% natural, so she gives the green light! http://fitnessista.com/2010/04/readers-request-protein-powder/0 -
At 100 calories and no fat, im skeptic that its "All Natural"
Unless Aspartame is natural, in which case I may have to re-think my view on certian proteins.0 -
