Need help with Recipie

Okay so I love cooking. I also love that I can put my recipes online here and have them saved for easy entry. I am making fried chicken tonight. I know it's not really a "low cal" or "diet" food, but my fam loves it and so do I. My question is, how do i enter the flour I use in the recipe since most of it doesn't actually make it to be served. I mean, my flour mix uses about 2.5 cups (not sure what that is in grams still working on learning to cook with weights instead of volume.) But there is always 2/3-3/4 of the mix still in the container I use to to coat the chicken. So would I :

A) weigh the total mixture before I use any, coat the chicken, then weigh what's left and enter the difference in the recipe online? (This makes the most sense)

B) put the total weight that I use in the mix?

C) something else entirely?

I am leaning toward A as it seems the most accurate. Any one with more experience with this that can answer the question?

Thanks Seska, like I said that's what I was leaning towards, especially after I thought it all through to type it out. It may seem silly, but I want to get it as "right" as I can.

It's not silly. It's a learning process and this is the place to ask. I've learned multiple things about the easiest way to get the job done from the people here.
