I am a 34 year old girl and I have always struggled with my weight.

I have always been an athlete however I love food and have had a lot of personal issues over the last few years which had put my fitness and nutrition on the back burner.

Now I have gained an extreme amount of weight going from 170 to 224lbs in the last year.

This has made me severely depressed which has not helped the situation plus I injured myself last year and had surgery and am still healing so my fitness is limited to what I can do.

I am an emotional eater and I am happy when I eat. I eat out of boredom too.

I don't know how to get back on track and to start again.

If anyone wants to be my friend on here or help motivate I would really appreciate it and be very grateful.

Thank you.

Felicity

Likewise... not everyone is the same when it comes to weightloss. Some people do great on carbs and some don't. In fact many don't due to the quality of carbs they are taking in. Many people have all sorts of symptoms due to the highly hybrid grains they are taking in, the most common being bloat, intense cravings, leaky gut. For me, going low carb has changed my life and I've never been happier. And after all my research, cycling a ketogenic diet is the way to go. It rebalance us and has a slew of health benefits, plus is a superior fuel source. However some people have no problem going life time keto, while others cycle smartly. Smartly in not consuming inferior worthless empty foods that are designed to keep you craving and addicted to carbs. This is exactly why 2/3 of our country is overweight with 40% of that being obese. It's exactly why we have a good chunk of these autoimmune diseases. The problem is insulin and inflammation which trashy carbs are responsible for simulating. And how many meals do they tell us to eat? What's recommend on the very bottom of our food pyramid? I'm talking about cycling carbs with roots and tubers, specifically sweet potato. Beautiful, I promise you I been where your at. In fact I was suicidal. Now I can't believe I ever felt like that. But low and behold after talking with many people, they feel exactly the same way - sad indeed. I can't say for sure my approach would work for you but I have a good hunch it would as it has for many. The problem is you HAVE to be a warrior and fight through that very rough and hard transition and even detox. But we are stronger than we all know. We all forget that and some never told that. That's exactly what my focus and goal is now. We all need help to change this effed up world and bring back balance. I salute you twice for opening up like that. That's the first step mama, are you ready to take the next step? Incredible journeys happen one step at a time

    Hi Felicity,

I struggle with anxiety and a body that likes to break down a lot. Strength training, a plant-based diet, a little therapy, and an MFP cheering section has really helped me turn things around in a way that I have never seen before. I think it's really happening this time.

Happy to be a friend, if you'd like to add me.
