Help! Maths, bingeing, over and undereating?

I am currently at my goal weight, I've got mfp settings set to lose 1.5lb a week so I can have extra room for error and help control my appetite. It's set me a goal to eat 1,200 cal a day to lose 1.5lb a week. What is the maths behind this? I always eat right up to my goal and most of the time fall below after excersizing.
Need help calculating my weekly calorie allowance, I had a bad day today and ate about 2,500cal. But the rest of the days this week I have been in a deficit! (Falling below a measly 1,200 a day!) so will this have much effect?
I've struggled with this app before as I eat very clean and struggle to shift any weight at all, however my body fat has dropped so this is probably just due to gaining muscle (which is great!) I am very self-conscious of my weight and I always feel bloated and sluggish when I eat anything 'naughty' and then the guilt kicks in haha!
Wanting to know how many extra I will have to burn (if needed) to make up for my splurge today? And how much does this app create a deficit of that is already 'built in'.
I've checked out some forums but can't find any help, if anyone could link me any that'd be great. Also how to use the 'net' and 'total' options in the weekly calorie page under nutrients.
My info:
Current weight 126lb.
Goal on app: 120lb.
MFP calculation of daily calorie allowance: 1,200
Settings at lose 1.5lb a week.
Today I went over my daily allowance by 1,500.
FYI: I've had these settings for about 3 weeks and not lost any weight what so ever, even after eating strictly by the guidelines (aside from this single cheat day) anyone know why?
Thanks for the help in advance everyone! I suck at maths!

for such a small weight loss - 1.5 a week might be too aggressive which is why you binged - try adjusting it to .5 a week and see what that gives you
when you say not lost any weight - are you weighing and logging EVERYTHING?1 -

I weigh and log EVERYTHING religiously! When I first started months ago I wasn't weighing correctly and now use my scales for every single thing I eat so there's no room for error! However I am training my muscles and lost body fat% so staying at my weight is fine at the moment as it seems to be down to muscle built perhaps?0 -
can you open up your diary?0

I agree with the first user Op you have just a little bit to lose losing 0.5 pounds would be more ideal. I have about 20 pounds to lose, and I also let my goal to lose 0.5 pounds. You have less to lose than I do 0.5 pounds will definitely give you more calories to eat thus help you not binge.
Btw i don't consider food as "bad or "good" at the end of the day it's just calories and if it fits into your goals one can get it. I had cheesecake yesterday and it fit in my goal.
Good luck!1 -

If you are at your goal weight, why not just change your goal to "Maintain"?
Having a weight loss goal at this stage may be part of a clever plan, but it's too clever.1
