Weekly Digest

I've been using MFP for over a year, and discovered just today that there's a Weekly Digest option under the Reports tab. I've just given a cursory look so far to the reports/charts the digest provides, but it looks like a much more useful tool than the daily reports for someone looking at a long-term process toward getting fit. I know the digest is fed from all the daily logs, but it seems to give a better, quicker look at patterns and trends than you can get from the daily logs and reports.
Does anyone use the Weekly Digest on a regular basis, and if so, how do you use it?

I accidentally discovered this option yesterday, and I couldn't find it again. Thanks for creating this post now I figured out where I saw it. I haven't used it before, but you got me curious now who uses it??:O1

I track weekly. I try to keep in a daily range, but don't stress about the numbers if I have an excessive day because what I REALLY pay attention to is the weekly average. Weekly kcals plus using TDEE works well for me. In the past, I've gotten really obsessive about trying to fit into my daily allotment and trying to "earn" food through exercise and it ultimately wasn't something I could ever maintain for more than a few weeks at a time. I've been on here pretty consistently for about 2.5 months now (this round), and I'm down 11lbs since mid-Feb, when I changed my approach from daily/NEAT to weekly/TDEE. Mentally, it keeps me motivated and sane and doesn't make me feel like I'm on a 'diet' where I have to deprive myself of everything. It's been a lot easier to stick to my long term goals by not putting too much stock into the daily numbers. I still have about 25lbs to go to my first goal weight, so I have a lot to lose, but so far, so good .3

There's also now an email sending a Weekly Digest summarizing the past week. Not sure if that's new, but I just started getting it about 3 weeks ago.0

I don't see an option to receive the weekly digest by email, maybe is a premium feature, but I couldn't find it in the Premium Features list. Anyway, using the website, when you choose 'reports' on the web this is not listed as an option initially, you need to go to 'export' first, then you'll see it as a third option in the report menu (after 'charts' and 'export data') - at least for now.0
