So I'm shopping on a budget so it is somewhat repetitive but it's for this week then next week I'll switch it up. If you think I should change anything I'd love the input !

Breakfast : 2 scrambled eggs with yogurt and an apple

Or

1 egg on English muffin with an apple

Snack: celery w pb

Or

Cucumber w ranch

Snack: rice cakes

Or

You aren't eating this every day? If you don't have a lot of staples, you have to start somewhere though. Can I suggest buying as varied as you can - if you're planning to buy for one week, and eat two sorts of fruit, buy 7 apples and 7 oranges, not 14 apples. Buy one bag of broccoli, one bag of peas, one bag of carrots, one bag of spinach, not four bags of broccoli. Buy a cucumber and a bag of carrots and a bunch of celery, not four cucumbers. Rice cakes is expensive air - buy oatmeal.

Isn't asparagus crazy expensive? (May be in season now so I may be totally wrong.)

How many calories are you planning to eat?

Very good suggestions ! Thank you! The asparagus was just an idea basically for me to go into the store and see I have asparagus and broccoli on the list for dinner but say green beans are cheaper I'll swap that out ! I'll definitely buy a variety! Thank you for the tip! MFP says I should eat 2,140 calories

Buy whatever is on offer or shop at the end of the day when stuff is reduced.

Bulk buy meat, pasta, rice, beans etc

Ask at the meat counter if your store has a "manager's special" or "sale" section for meat, too. If it's close to the sell-by date, you may be able to get it at a discount, then just cook it or freeze it when you get home.

Compare the cost of the pre-made Ranch dressing to the cost of home-made Ranch ingredients (like sour cream and a Ranch spice packet or a recipe you find online, if you have access to any spices). It may be less expensive and it may be a better fit for your kcals and your macros than buying pre-made stuff. Not sure about how much quantity you'll be eating of your meal plan, but it doesn't look like enough to get to 2140 very easily. That's a lot of apples and chicken! The PB is a great idea, and maybe include some beans or rice, which are cheap and will give you some additional protein and calories. It would also work as a nice lunch, which you seem to have left out.

I'm a frugal shopper (family of 5 with a $100 a week grocery budget that also include non-food items), and I always 'shop' from my own kitchen first, before I put my list together. Go through your fridge/freezer/cupboards and see what you already have, that you can build off of. Then I go online and check out the weekly sales flyers for the stores in my area. From those two things I then make my menu plan/grocery list, and I walk into the store/s with an ironclad list and cash.

eta: many grocery stores now offer loyalty programs, where you get discounts just for shopping with them (usually you sign up for free and you then get a loyalty card they'll swipe, or it goes by your phone number). I got a random $5 off of my Meijer grocery trip yesterday, because something I had bought triggered the discount. Worth checking into the stores in your area and seeing if they offer something similar.
