How many calories did I lose?

I was at the gym this morning and was on the treadmill for 95 minutes at the average rate of 3.8mph, I weigh 242 right now and I am male. Calories defer from what the machine says and what MFP says. What are the true calories I have lost?

Honestly it's hard to say as everything is an estimate. A lot of times people will take their weight, multiply it by .3, then multiply that number by the total miles walked.1

Over time with accurate logging you will know if you are overestimating or not. All these numbers are just estimates, like @malibu927 said.3

Machines often differ from what MFP says. If you like, you can simply input your calories burned in the space for them; you don't have to accept MFP's calculation.
Machine calculations always seem high to me though.0 -
If you added your height and weight on the machine that might be a better estimate. But I eat back at least 50% just in case it's an overestimation for that reason. Best of luck!!1

Unfortunetly, the treadmill I was on did not have the age gender weight and height input capabilities..0

It's impossible to nail this down completely 100%. In the beginning I would just use the treadmill numbers. It's really easy to lose weight when there is a lot of weight to lose, so really any numbers are close enough. I felt like it was important for me to use the same source consistently though - so if you use the treadmill, stick with those numbers. If you use MFP's numbers, stick with those. I felt like if I bounced around to different calculators I was reporting varying data and it would make it hard for me to know what was going. The treadmill numbers worked for me until I got within 25 pounds of my goal, then a lot of things had to be tweaked.
Good job using the treadmill. Don't overthink this, and try to get as close as you can to recording accurate food data and staying within your suggested calories. The best thing is to learn to eat in a way that will serve you well forever!0
