You're probably making it more complicated than it really is. Eat at a calorie deficit. That's really all that you need to do. Sometimes getting at a deficit means moving more to burn calories. Moving more doesn't require a gym membership or running 3 miles a day. Simplify it.

    No it really isn't.
What is hard is truly believing and eating based on idea that if you eat 500 fewer calories a day then you burn off you will lose 1lb a week on average. It is slow . You didn't gain overnight nor will you lose overnight.

I'm sorry you are struggling. Yes, it can be difficult, but it's worth it. Take one meal, one day at a time. I lost 60 lbs and it took me over a year. Now I've gained it back and I'm starting again. Some of us need to be very careful and count every calorie. Hang in there. Talk to yourself in the same way you would talk to a friend. Celebrate every lesson learned, every healthy meal. We'll both get there.

It's hard if you have unrealistic expectations and goals. It's hard if you believe in detoxes, cleanses, weight loss pills and crash diets. It's easy to cut calories and eat the same foods you always have.
