Can't eat my calories

Ok I know I know how are you fat if you can't eat much. Well I used to be able to eat and eat and eat but in the last week I struggle to come close to eating my food calories let alone trying to eat my exercise calories. I don't want my body to go into starvation mode but I don't know how to eat anymore.
For example, we were in town for lunch today and the kids wanted Dairy queen so we went and I ordered a 6 pc chicken strip basket. I could only eat 2 chicken strips, 1/2 the fries and 1 pc of the toast. I literally felt like I had just ate Thanksgiving dinner. 6 wks ago I would have eaten the whole meal plus whatever my kids didn't eat of their meals.
I don't know how to bump up my calories without making my self feel miserable. Any ideas???
Also don't know if it makes a difference but I have like 125 lbs to lose.

increase all your meals slightly, like adding an extra piece of toast or veggies.
or add a handful of nuts or add a bit of peanut butter into a smoothie or add avacado to salads.0 -

Please dont go into starvation mode... I did and I was a bear at home.. Growling at everyone for 2 weeks.. Now im happy again and ive just come out and lost 2 pounds in two days..
If you're exercising too much cut back a lil .. or just eat more.. but whatever u do.. Dont go into starvation mode.. its too frustrating.:grumble:

UGH im in the same boat.. add cheese to your meals. snack on things like cottage cheese and fruit.. or a chicken breast lol.
when you make yourself a healthy sandwich add a slice of cheese.
if you drink milk, drink a glass of milk.
put some butter on your corn on the cobb.
if you're drinking a protein shake, add some bananas and a tablespoon of peanut butter.
snack on 6 crackers with peanut butter on em
hope that helps.0 -
When that happens to me I usually drink a Protein shack or something. I prefer the Special K protein shake it's 190 calories or the Muscle Milk shake it's 230 calories. Both are high in protein and all the good stuff. It is not a Meal Replacement.0

If you are having trouble I would recommend staying away from high fat processed foods. . rather raw nuts. . .a protein shake. .. . good fats like avocado. .. . can help your body. .. and provide the needed caloric intake to sustain your workouts. . .Just a thought. .
I don't know how much water you are consuming, but this aids in the digestion of your food. .. . the recommended is 1/2 your weight in ounces. ..
Hope this helps. . Good luck in your journey! God bless.:flowerforyou:0 -
I am gonna end my day with 1000+ calories left to eat but I cannot eat anymore without busting. I am going to try tomorrow to add in all of your help and hopefully tomorrow I will not have any calories leftover. Part of my issue I think is that my favorite summer time snack is Watermelon & Cantaloupe. I have noticed you can eat a ton of that for very few calories.0

I'd imagine that was a lot of calories to begin with.0
