Really not liking the new LesMills releases...

I normally love these classes but since the new release's the only one I've enjoyed is GRIT cardio.
They've introduced a lot jumping around and today in GRIT strength I felt my left knee twinge due to all the jumping lunges, jumping squats etc...and it carried on twinging until the class ended so I had to do the alternative moves...
Bodycombat seems to be the same, they've introduced mountain climbers, burpees etc, jumping lunges!
Has anyone found they've not enjoyed the new releases as much?

I'll give you my medical perspective first. I've had a double hip replacement I have an arthritic knee that needs to be replaced.
I'm a big fan of Tony Horton and I just completed around the p90x. He has a jumping routine call Playa metrics which is probably the equivalent of what you're doing. Are you and a half ago I took a look at the video and I said all never be able to do this. But what I did is I modified the moves. He has a spinning half jump so instead of spending what I did is I moved my feet around in a circle. That got better over time last week I was able to do multiple 360 spin jumps would a little discomfort in my.
I would recommend you talk to an orthopedist or a physical therapist about your niece first but it's just a matter of building some strength I would recommend you talk to an orthopedist or a physical therapist about your niece first but it's just a matter of building some strength and a lot of it for me was mental confidence. A year ago I said there's no way I'll ever be able to do that now it's no big deal I can't do other move slow so I just modify them. Doing a little of something is better than doing a lot of nothing0 -
I know what you mean. The Y I go to has almost every LM class and I see what you're saying. Your instructor should be Reminding everyone about making personal adjustments. Personally, when I feel that my legs (usually it's the legs) are fatigued or a certain joint starts to feel weak (it's not usually a matter of not being able to breathe) then I pull back slightly which is how the programs are designed. The Grit Cardio is killer. You're apparently supposed to push yourself to complete exhaustion and there really isn't anyone who can do the entire regimen perfectly without making adjustments or taking very short breaks.1

Plus I feel like you lose form when you are going so fast at a particular move! I don't like to take that chance as my form and technique is important to me but yesterday I did not like GRIT strength at all....
I loved the GRIT cardio though, just not keen on combat, strength or plyo.

I've heard that BodyCombat is losing a lot of the martial arts moves, but I haven't tried a class recently. I'm disappointed, as the kicking & punching is what I love about Combat.1

@ShibaEars Yeah this is so true as when I did the new release combat that was my initial thought0
