Is there a setting that records carbs instead of calories?
Also that calculates net carbs and keeps track?

If you log your food and choose correct database entries, you'll be able to see your carbohydrate intake in your diary just like you can see your calories.1

Why would you not want to track calories?
You can track 6 different ones.
I track, calories, carbs, fat, protein, fibre and calcium.

Calories are what cause you to gain or lose weight, carbs are just a part of the picture0

MFP doesn't calculate net carbs (carbs - fiber).. at least not that I'm aware of. I believe you'll able to see macros (like grams) under nutrition. I pay the premium to set my goals by macros in addition to calories, so what is available to me may not be available in the free version.
