So what are the minimal amounts of foods you could live on. And what are they. "Example you could live on potatoes rice and pizza eating 1 pound of each each day"
Also does eating the same food affect your metabolism?

Why would you want to eat those same foods over and over.
Metabolism is affected by muscle mass not by foods you eat.2 -
Because if I can eat a good I love everyday it would help me keep clean eating, like pre made meals0

You could survive on nearly anything if the calories are adequate. The thing is that it's typically much healthier to eat a variety of foods so that you get the vitamins and micronutrients your body needs, and a mix of macros to be more pleasant.
If you just want a simple menu plan to repeat, that's easy enough, but you won't stick to it if you don't like it.3 -
Eat the foods you like just not too much.3

Calories are what is important for weight management so that is what you should look at.
Eat whatever foods add up to meet your calorie goal not "eat this many pounds of food a day". You might eat a lot of very low calorie foods or a smaller amount of very calorie dense foods.
The concern would probably be getting all the nutrients you need in a very limited menu and how sustainable and satisfying it is for you.
Protein, fats and fiber help people feel satisfied.
Log some of the foods you like in your food diary and see how they help you meet your goals.

I'd probably go with a high quality beef. Everything is there. It shouldn't affect metabolism unless you just eat lean meat with high protein.
I wouldn't want to do it though. Id' crave variety.0 -
It sounds like you want to simplify so you are not faced with choices so frequently. One way to do this and still eat healthfully would be to eat only meat (beef, pork, chicken, fish) and non-starchy veggies. Most people will lose weight eating these foods only, unless you have an insatiable appetite for meat.0

If the calories are adequate, you wouldn't starve. But if the nutritional profile was too limited, you would have a world of other issues.2

You chose potatoes, rice, and pizza for a reason. Is that what you intend to eat every day? A pound of each?

I read that humans can survive forever on a diet of potatoes, oatmeal and milk. Best wishes.0

Not if you get beriberi or scurvy.0 -
Lean meat, some veggies and fruit. Potatoes and pizza are what got most people onto this app.0

If you really want the minimum, that Soylent (real, not a joke) meal replacement supposedly has all the necessary nutrition. I can't imagine it tastes like anything I'd want to drink once let alone for every meal.1

I rotate each week between different veggies, fruits and grains but my go to meats from week to week are mainly -ground turkey and chicken. This weekend I might throw in a Margarita for good balance lol0

You want at least some variety so that you don't get bored and quit plus variety makes it more likely that you'll get your needed vitamins and minerals.
I keep things simple and convenient by having a freezer full of frozen meals (the lowest sodium choices that I can find and actually like) and steam-in-bag veggies to go with them. I have some fruit for snacks or dessert to get some Vitamin C.0 -

This is a good point. At the extreme, people can't survive on a diet that's nutritionally inadequate, no matter how many calories they're eating. Sailors on ships used to die of scurvy even though they were eating enough calories. And even if someone doesn't die, nutritional deficiencies can have all kinds of bad effects. Eating the same food or only a very limited range of foods is nutritionally a bad idea.1
