Help with Fitbit adjusting calories

I set up my Fitbit a few days ago and when I was active it was nice to have it automatically log my calories on MFP. Pretty cool actually.
However, today was cold and rainy and I spent virtually all day in front of the computer working my fingers and it gave me almost a 500 calories adjustment!
I really didn't do anything. Does anyone else have this happen?
Reluctant to count those calories a free to eat. Help please.

Make sure you have Fitbit and mfp set to the same settings as in to lose the same amount of weight per week.2

Thank you. Took me some time to find the setting on Fitbit but you were right! Thanks KWlosingit.
