Hi the best thing is to put all your details in first and see what MFP tells you your calorie intake should be .
I would then just log every thing you normally eat for the first week or so and don't worry about going over that way you have a starting point.
After that you will be able to see the things that have the most calories in this will give you an idea what you can change the easiest.
don't beat yourself up if you go over your cals it happens only weigh yourself once a week try to do it on the same day at the same time as your weight will go up and down .
And remember it takes time try not to think of this as a diet but a lifestyle change there are no bad foods as long as they fit into your calorie intake then it's fine.
Try not to eat back all of your exercise calories as they always seem to be less than the machines or MFP tell you they are.
And again log everything i find scanning the barcodes with my phone tends to stop me buying things that are really high calorie.
Get freinds on here as they help to keep you motivated and you can see the kind of things they are eating i have an open diary so feel free to look i tend to just eat what i want and make it fit that way i don't really notice that i'm eating less i've lost over 4 stone so far and never thought i would be able to do it.
good luck and feel free to add.0 -
