I've been following slimming world for 9 weeks. I have lost 8kgs in that time. I have 90kgs in total to loose. This is the slowest I have lost weight but I know its more likely to stay off. Does anyone know how I might sped it up just a little? I dont eat wheat so no bread or pasta but everything else I love. I eat a lot of veg, eggs and meat. Exercise right now is hard due to being heavy and having a sore back.
Thank you
Thank you

If I calculated right that's almost 2 pounds a week which is already fast. You don't need to speed it up to an unhealthy rate of loss. Keep up the great work you're already doing.1

Thank you hun just feels like I have a mountain to climb but not binged in 9 weeks and I was doing it every night so that's a big step I just thought it might have fallen off a bit quicker in the first few months.0

Your rate of loss is fine. 90kg is a lot to lose and it isn't going to happen fast. This is going to be a multiyear journey. How fast you lose weight is completely related to how many calories you consume versus how many you expend each day. The only way to lose faster is to eat less, move more, or both. Losing almost a kg a week is a fine speed. As you progress you'll need to reduce calories to maintain that rate of loss. Eventually you won't realistically be able to keep losing at that speed and 0.75kg a week is going to be acceptable, then even that will be hard and 0.5kg a week might be all you can manage. Basically what I'm saying is celebrate that you've lost 8kg in 9 weeks as this will seem fast compared to a year from now. Having realistic expectations about how long massive weight loss takes is something that helped me a great deal with my weight loss.1

Thanks vismal. I would usually have thrown the towel in by now hence getting heavier. I'm loving what I'm eating and have no desire to over eat I just keep telling myself another 6 months and imagine what I could have achieved.0

The slower and less restrictive you are with this, The more likely you will be able to maintain long term results. Always keep that in mind. I know how frustrating it is to lose slowly, it's something I had a really hard time accepting. My start weight was 200lbs (I'm 5'3) after I had my second baby. She is 14 months old and I'm currently 162. I have 30 more to go, and it'll be slower coming off than the first part was. But I'm still allowing for foods Iove aka junk food1
