Hi, I have fibromyalgia and I want to lose weight and be healthy.
My only exercise is walking, when I have the time/energy.
What exercises do you do?
Are there any exercises that help fight the fatigue?

I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia recently although I have had it for 8 years. Besides walking, I have tried water exercise and find it to be therapeutic if the water is warm enough. I have heard there are also some gentle yoga classes for people with chronic pain.

Make the time for the walking. Over time it will help so much if you keep active. Strength training is great as well. It's sucks pretty bad at first, but if you stick with it you will actually have less pain. I have a lot of cramping, etc-especially in my neck and calves. I'm still in pain, but find I have the energy and resilience to push through if I exercise regularly.

Nothing has helped like strength training, but it's pretty tough to start, especially if your joints hurt. Even just holding the weights hurts my fingers and wrists-but again if you find the will to push through it does get better. Don't lift on bad days, but do push through with walking.
