Late night post workout shake

I want to make a shake for several reasons but have a few roadblocks.
- I do jiu jitsu in the evenings straight after work. It's really intense. This leaves me no time to eat a meal between work and class. I do have fruit and small snack in the late afternoon so I'm not completely gassed out during class.
- Class is far so it puts me at home after 8pm. By the time I'm settled to eat, it's close to 9pm.
- I figured making a shake/smoothie would be my best option for post-workout/recovery, however due to gall bladder surgery I cannot consume more than one egg or use a regular protein powder without my digestive system tearing up. Anyone have any suggestions? I've googled and searched the forums and nothing seems to address my particular question (except a thread from 11 years ago).

Thanks in advance for any ideas you might have. :) OSS

Meal timing is irrelevant unless you are an elite athlete. Protein timing is irrelevant unless you are an elite athlete. Hit your protein macros for the day however you can, and eat when you are hungry.
