I have a hard time hitting my protein intake daily. Pretty much never hit it. Usually 20-30 grams short. But I here a good amount of protein helps with weight loss and muscle growth. I do some calisthetics for a workout. Would it be beneficial for me to add a protein shake to my day? What protein powder to use that taste good. Im stuck between getting something from quest nutrition or getting a tub of bsn syntha-6 isolate. Any help would be great.

Protein shakes do exactly what you said, if you don't get enough from your diet it supplements to boost your intake without extra fat and carbs. Protein (and fat) help you stay full and protein helps rebuild muscles. The biggest benefit (IMO) for weight loss would be staying full longer. That said, if you're sticking to a healthy calorie deficit and are happy with what you're eating (not too hungry and you are satisfied) then protein won't "help" you lose additional weight.
I use ON Gold Standard and buy on amazon.0 -
I highly recommend GNC brand chocolate 100% whey, but Quest has been suggested to me as well because they say it has a great taste. A protein shake could benefit you greatly to hit that protein goal!0

Syntha 6 is great but high in carbs0

Quest is a great product. Mixes well and no weird aftertaste.0

1st Phorm Level 1 protein - the ice cream sandwhich flavor is the absolute best. It blends up perfectly with no aftertaste. I mix 1 scoop with 1/2 (60g) banana and 1-1.5c of unsweetened vanilla almond milk and a good amount of ice. Yummmmmm0

You can get Body Fortress whey protein powder at Kroger/QFC grocery stores, and it's actually pretty decent and inexpensive. I use it to cook (e.g. protein pancakes) all the time.
Quest is pretty pricey, but usually the flavors are outstanding. Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard is a good choice too.
Also nonfat Greek yogurt is very high in protein, fyi.1 -
I like ON Gold Standard or Trutein. I have found the Trutein keeps me feeling fuller a little bit longer. I think it is the mix of proteins that helps.0

How much protein are you getting now and what is your daily goal? ... possible you are getting enough and your goal is just high0

I like Nectar by Syntrax and Protein Milkshake Bar. Protein Milkshake Bar powders are lower in sugar than the Nectar. Both brands taste pretty good and are whey isolates. I go back and forth between the two because they don't upset my stomach. I do the non-dairy Muscle Milks on days I don't have time to mix a shake.0 -
I bought the Kaizen Chocolate at Costco. 35g of protein for 150 cals, so most of the cals from protein. Tastes good. I'll mix in a banana. Tried strawberries last night but meh. Baileys works well with it though.1

If you are on a budget myprotein impact whey is about $60 for 11lbs when it is on sale which is often.0
