What am I doing wrong?

Hi!
I am 18, female, 5ft6in and about 105lbs. I exercise 5-6 days a week and walk about 8000 steps a day. On average, I eat 1200-1600 calories a day. Lately in the gym, I've noticed I've been having trouble lifting my normal weight and doing as high intensity as before. I worry I'm getting weaker or losing muscle mass. Is it possible I'm overtraining? What can I do to get my strength back?

If these are your goals then your calorie goal may be set too low to achieve it.4 -
What would a better calorie goal be? Thank you!0

Are you eating in a surplus? 1600 sounds low.0

You should be in order to gain muscle, especially since you're quite underweight. Change your goal to gain a pound a week.2 -
Thank you so much!0

You are underweight and not eating enough to gain. Eat more. Eat more. Eat more4

ditto on eat more eat more. i am a male but when i am losing i am at 1600. gaining i am at 3,000 plus. Consider 2,200ish calories.0

Is this the calorie goal Myfitnesspal gave you to gain weight?0

Make sure you put into your MFP goal that you are trying to gain, and it will give you the calorie goal you should be going for.
I'm 5'3" and I lose weight on 1600 calories if I'm weightlifting, so I doubt that is enough calories to achieve your goals.0 -
That sounds like a good idea- MFP gives me 1,728 as my daily goal which I thought meant my maximum.0
-
A surplus of a half pound a week should be plenty.0
-
Definitely eating too little, try upping it a bit0
