Curious how long would it take to lose 100lbs. How long did it took you?

I will typically loose 25lbs in 6 months. But keep in mind I purposely loose bf% very slow to maintain muscle mass.

I've lost 62 lbs in a year. I've been maintaining the last 4 months. I'm back on the wagon to lose the last bit. Aim for 1lb a week. Slow and easy.

Don't fall into the trap of looking at how long it would take (more than a year) and then telling yourself it's too much work. It's pretty easy once you get into the habit of logging in your calories. Take it a day at a time. (I know that's cliche advice, but it's cliche for a reason :P)

It only took me 5 months and 5 days to lose the first hundred but that was as a morbidly obese and yet very active man. Even at that, it was extremely fast and I knew less when I started than now. I do not recomend trying to lose anywhere near that fast. As I have learned more and gotten leaner, I have steadily slowed my rate of loss. This is very doable and the key is sustainability and developing healthy long term eating habits. Learn what you can from all the great info on this sight, maintain a reasonable calorie deficit, and just take it one day at a time. You will get there before you know it.

My goal is also 100lbs. I started Sept. 26, 2016 at 220.6 and I'm down to 183 as of this morning. 7 months and 37.6lbs lost. Ive missed my targets this year (did great from Oct-Jan) but I've reset them and going from there. Weight loss started at 2lbs a week the first 12 weeks, then I must have hit a block since the next 12 was 1/2 a lb a week. Now I am at 1lb/week on average for this 12 week stretch. My original goal was 120 by the end of 2017 which I will probably not hit and I'm ok with it. Realistically, for me I'm thinking it'll take 2 years to get all of the 100lbs off and work on maintaining. I have weeks where I stay on track, keep my calories in range, get my exercise, but the scale never moves. It's part of the journey and something I didn't anticipate. Good luck. We'll get there.
