Toning takes time but how much?

I've been consistently working out with Fitness Blender videos for about 5 months. I've lost about 8 or 9 pounds and feel stronger, look leaner. But I still have that last bit of belly and thigh fat hanging on. It's just frustrating to see others amazing and fast transformations and not seeing it in myself. I'm not overweight, but not where I want to be. I keep pushing myself and lifting heavier when I can. I also eat lots of whole foods and track consistently. Any advice? Do I need to switch up my routine?

Losing belly fat comes down to fat loss. Being toned is a result of low body fat and adequate muscle. If all you are doing is fitness blender videos you might need to consider doing something different.

Also, don't judge yourself based off someone else's transformation. You don't know what they did to get there. It could have been 500 calories, steroids, and 4 hours at the gym. Fast doesn't necessarily mean healthy.

Very good points! They do have a variety of different types of exercises and difficulty levels so I do feel challenged still. I am not a gym person which is why I like Fitness Blender. Any tips on how to shake things up? I've been thinking of just incorporating more running and biking since it's warm again.

Somewhere between years and never, generally.

There's a world of difference between exercising and training.

You need to have realistic expectations of the effort you need to put in to achieve a dramatic transformation. Behind the media transformations you see is a ton of hard work to a level that most people won't commit to. How many hours a day are you willing to commit to for example?

Perhaps to need to think about this "I am not a gym person" - is that stopping you from achieving the results you want?
You can do a good structured and intense program at home of course.....

"Do I need to switch up my routine?" - probably.

Best thing to do is to keep your eyes on your own progress, comparison will just make you miserable. Believe me.

As for losing the last bit, it is usually the hardest.. adequate training, consistency and patience.

twice as long as you think it should, 10x as long as you want it to.
