I have to do this - I have had enough

I have tried various diet plans in the past and have lost upwards of 4 stone (56lb) but then I get complacent and bored and I start putting all of it plus more on.

Yesterday my daughter turned 18, she is off to university in September and I am determined that when she graduates in three years, I will not be in a size 22 outfit. I have started cycling and I love it and I am taking part in a charity 100km ride at the end of May so I am using all this to motivate myself.

I am using the US method of measuring for ease on here, so I am starting at 273 and aim to get to 150. I am 5'2, 41 and a grazer.

I will do this I will!!!

    Welcome :)

Great idea to sign up for a fitness event as motivation. You can do this. Just log all those "grazes" so you can see the damage being done. It's a habit, that's all - if it is pushing you over your calories, try something else.

I happen to be a fan of Intermittent Fasting, but not because it's some diet gimmick, I just like delaying my first meal and then eating two large meals within 8 hours. It's how I ate as a kid, it works for me. Other people like the six smalls meals a day.

Experiment until you find a way to eat that satisfies you.
