Health decline-have to lose weight now!

Hi everyone, let me tell u a little about me. I'm new here, so I'm trying to figure out the ins and outs of things. (Mainly, I, with much anxiety, tried to post "before" photos of me to start my progress, on my home page thing, but after uploading the first, when I tried to upload more in the next status, it just goes automatically to the first I uploaded, and I don't know how to change that) Anyway. My name is Krissy. I've been married for almost 5 and 1/2 yrs to the the most amazing and wonderful woman I've ever known in my life, Melissa (u will see me refer to her by nickname, Missa). We have no children, but two furbabies, a cat and dog, both will be 7 this year. I'm the oldest by 6 years, of two, and my sister had her first baby, my nephew Jaxson, 2 years ago. I'm 34 years old, and will be 35 in September. I've been through a lot in my life, from my teen years til now. I was officially diagnosed with depression when I was 16. I always had trouble with my womanly cycles, and was diagnosed with PCOS shortly around my 19th birthday. I was a size 8 in high school, until, in one year alone, I went all the way to an 18. (Obesity goes along with PCOS.) I've struggled with my weight ever since, major self-esteem problems, I would lose 30-40 pounds, then gain it back...yo-yoing through the years. I had to have a hysterectomy in 2012, and that along with the weight added to my depression. I've recently went from 256 pounds to 220, what I am now. I'm terrified to gain it back, but I'm not losing anymore either. My lower legs are bowing due to my weight, I have major arthritis in my knees and my lower back and tailbone. I have problems with my heart, and am at a high risk of a stroke. My cholesterol is also out of control. I need to lose this weight. I have zero willpower on my own. I've also been diagnosed with bi-polar disorder, severe anxiety disorder, and PTSD. With a lot of things combined, I don't handle stress well at all, and so I eat. I am probably an emotional eater. I have a hard time with my blood sugar dropping too low if I don't eat enough or the right things, so I am always at a loss as to what to do. I guess its just really really nice to have a community here that I've found that have weight problems, and goals like me....so, that's my story...there's probably more, but this is just one chapter lol.
Thanks!
Krissy

Welcome Krissy. You CAN do this. Your willpower is your wife and your animals and your health. Purchase a food scale and weigh and log everything. The weight will come off if you stay strong. You are in charge!1

Welcome. Take it one day at a time. You have a lot of challenges but a lot of support, too, from the sound of it.
The key here is to be honest with yourself. Say whatever you want to others...but always be honest with yourself. If you eat it, log it. Get a food scale if you don't have one. Get a good idea if what portions really are...this is a big shock to a lot of people. Don't be too restrictive-change your lifestyle, don't diet. Diets are constricting and unsustainable--lifestyle changes make for consistent loss/maintenance rather than yo-yoing.
Share your diary or don't--if you don't want to, be prepared for people to snark about it (I don't typically share mine).
Good luck!

Could someone tell me how to share my diary, as well as post my before pics on my one page for me to motivate myself? It keeps only showing me one pic to add, and I have a couple. Thank u! And thank u so much, to all of u that replied, your words are encouraging and so helpful for me, and they inspire me and motivate me to better myself and not give up!0

Krissy, we are so much alike honestly. I'm sending you a virtual hug right now. I also suffer from depression, anxiety, PCOS, I also have hypothyrodism. I've yo yo'd over the years from 222 down to 211 up to 244 down to 153, back to 210, now down to 163. You can do this. If I can do it you can, because I just never thought I could. I'm not there yet of course, but I'm not where I was either. Log everything! Take a picture of your wife and furbabies and keep it on your wallet and your fridge to help you remember your why. I'm going to add you.1

My name is Angel I'm trying this my fitness pal because I love my husband and his mom is overbearing and wants me to go to a nutritionist and I have declined because my insurance won't cover it and they cost too much and what they want you to cost way too much so I'm doing this because I love my husband and he loves me and just to get his mother off my damn back. Looking for ideas that are low-cost love key and don't cost hardly anything at all will not go or can it because it's just like eating the same thing thanks0
