Has anyone gotten significant results by doing P90X? I am trying to find a workout plan that I can do from home that challenge me. I can't go to the gym right now because of my baby (no babysitter). I'm not trying to lose weight really I want to tone up and get rid of that little baby fat that it's left on my belly. I weight 106 so I would love to gain some muscles. I've been working out for the past 2 month and have lost about 8 pounds so far and would like to tone up more now.

I lost 29 lbs on P90X over 10 years ago. It can do the trick.

I've been doing P90X on and off for about 3 years and have had great success. I've lost 30 lbs in the last 4 months (I'm on my second round after starting the first round last Nov). My strength gains have been pretty good. When I started in November I could barely pump out 15 push-ups. I can now do 50 without stopping. I had to modify a lot when I started and still use a band assist for most of the pull-ups, but have gone from not being to do a single chin-up to being able to do sets of 5 before having to modify. On the second round I'm doing a P90X Plus Hybrid and don't have to modify anything except for pull ups. Shooting to be able to do standard unassisted pull ups within the next 2 months.

If you are looking for overall strength and fitness gains, then P90X is a good option. One note if you try it out is to not get caught up or discouraged if you can't initially finish all the workouts. Depending on your fitness level, They can be long and sometimes very tough. I started out with the goal of just doing what I could do in 30 minutes, even if I had to modify.

Oh yeah, following a good nutrition plan is essential if you want to see results in weight loss. Doesn't have to be the P90X plan, just good food at a calorie deficit if your goal is to increase fitness level and lose weight.

PS. I've done P90X, X2, X3 and keep coming back to P90X Classic. Though, I'm now doing the P90X Plus program with some substitutions on cardio days.

@LeoT0917 thank you. I want to give it a try. I keep looking for a program that I like and that really give me results. I don't really want to lose weight I actually want to gain and get stronger. Is that program specifically for people who want to lose weight?
